Floor Length V-neck Chiffon A-line Wedding Dress BC316

First, let me say that was skeptical about ordering from this site, but decided to give it a try because I was equally skeptical about spending over a thousand dollars for a dress that I would only wear once. My dress arrived in the mail this week, and I would say that it is definitely worth the price I paid for it.

*Is it an exact replica of the J.Crew Dune dress? No.
*Will the dress be perfect once I have some minor alterations done? Yes.
*Would I have needed to have alterations done even if I spent over a thousand dollars on a dress? Yes, most likely.

The dress arriving much quicker than expected, even with standard shipping. I ordered it on April 10th, and it was on my doorstep by April 19th. It was nicely folded into a little wedding dress bag (similar to a shoe bag?) and I would tell that someone had taken time to ensure that it was properly packaged (even if it was packaged somwhat compacty). The shipment arrived directly to me from the bridal studio in China (some may criticize this, but it made me feel like I was buying 'direct' from the manufacturer and cutting out some of the cost you would pay if buying from a mainstream bridal retailer.

Even though the dress is "100% Polyester" (as cited on the shipping form), you wouldn't know it from looking at it or even touching it (it's AMAZING what they can do with polyester these days). The dress is well-made; a nice silky soft interior with a structured corset and padding in the bust. The chiffon fabric on the exterior is very light and flowy and pleasant to touch (not scratchy at all, which I sometimes find with 100% silk chiffon).

I did notice a few design differences from the J.Crew Dune dress; specifically, there is a slight train on this version, which actually looks very pretty. The neckline also comes up higher on this version (almost to my collar bone), so I am planning to have that lowered. The J.Crew version is much more of an empire waist, whereas this version sits more at the natural waist.

I ordered the "light ivory" color, which I would say is more of a white (definitely more what than creamy colored). It is a pretty color, so no complaints from me, just don't expect a very rich ivory color; it is definitely more of a "soft white".

All in all, I am happy with my purchase, and even happier that the money I saved will be able to go towards other elements of my wedding that will provide lasting memories for years to come. When purchasing from this site, it is important to be reasonable with your expectations and truthful with yourself regarding your priorities. Will you look beautiful in this dress? YES. Is it haute couture? NO. Will you save $$$? YES. So where do your priorities stand?

This dress is amazing! As soon as I saw this dress on the website I knew it was for me. when I tried it on, I was so happy, it fit so well, and I cried. I love this dress and everything about it. I was also very nervous on ordering my dress online. But reading the reviews did help me slightly. I got my dress today, however it's packed in a small bag, it was all ok after i take it out and it’s very beautiful. I am so happy with my dress it was perfect slight different at pleat but that's not a big thing. the fabric is really floaty, like others say. Well, I just got the dress today, coming from work, opening it like a crazy person. but it was omg soooo exciting and scary b/c i had a big feeling it won’t fit right. and maaaaaaan, wore that dress it fits like a ring. it is just so PERFECT! it makes you feel so good! hey it looks a lot more expensive that what you pay for. i love it the fabric is soft very soft indeed and fluffy and it moves when u dance! its just what a girl would want for her big day. No matter what body size or shape you have i am telling you it will look NICE! thank you so much!

I bought this dress two months before my wedding. It arrived in around 3 weeks, so really quick. Had it custom made and it was so worth the extra money! I really like it and the quality is amazing! I thought it would be ok from a distance and poor up close, but this isn't the case. It's very intricate and well made. I would not hesitate to recommend this dress. I just got my dress yesterday, it looks great it was just a bit loose around the stomach, but I guess it's better to be a bit big than too small. Everything else is PERFECT. I'm very happy with my choice.

I'm thinking about ordering this dress and was wondering about the color choices... I', torn between the light ivory and ivory. White does not look good on my skin tone so I'm wondering how different the two shades of ivory are.

I absolutely adore this dress... but for prom! I was wondering if anybody could send me some pictures of themselves in the dress just so I can see what it looks like on someone in real life... it would be really appreciated !

I received my dress yesterday and it surpassed my expectations. The quality of the workmanship was very good, and the dress fitted well even though I had made changes to the measurements after the order went through. I will need to get the dress taken up (as I ordered it a bit longer) and also get the bust taken in slightly.

I have not tried on the orginal dress (Dune gown from Jcrew) but from what I can gather the main difference is my gown has more organza flowers. Also the flowers extend further up the dress (i.e. in the above picture you can see the top of the left shoulder strap, you can't see this in my dress).

The dress is also alot more structured and the underside is heavier than I thought it would be. Alot of work seems to have gone into the pleating around the top. Also the bust has padded cups so I won't need to wear a bra.

I am very happy with my dress and will be recommending inweddingdress.com to others.
